CLARK – Mrs. Audrey Taylor Clark, 82, of St. Marys, Ga., passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022.

Mrs. Clark was born Oct. 9, 1939, in Gilbert, S.C., to the late AJ and Emily Taylor.

Audrey lived in St. Marys for 63 years. She was publisher of The Camden County Tribune, owner of Camden Carpet and Paint, first female member, past president and lieutenant governor of the St. Marys Kiwanis Club, founder of Christmas for Camden Kids and the recipient of the 2007 Golden Eagle Award presented by the Boy Scouts of America. She was a trusted board member to numerous organizations, including Camden House, The Salvation Army and the Department of Family and Children Services. She was an active member of her church, serving as Church Council Chairwoman, Staff Parish Relations, singing in the choir and as a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband, James Clark Sr. of St. Marys, Ga.; children, Kathryn (Steven) Page of Callahan, Fla., and Jay (Penny) Clark of Kingsland, Ga.; grandchildren, Burt Lewis, Cody (Jordan) Lewis, Amanda Addy, Kaitlyn Addy, Peyton Clark and Taylor Clark; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kathy Taylor; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Clark was preceded in passing by her daughter, Donna Lewis; sons, Gary Addy and Dennis Addy; and brother, Wayne Taylor.

A visitation was 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga. Funeral Services were 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, at St. Marys First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Rick Douylliez presiding. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys, Ga. Pallbearers were members of the St. Marys Kiwanis Club

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Camden Alzheimer’s Project or St. Marys First Presbyterian Church.

Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga., is entrusted with Mrs. Clark’s arrangements.
