SULLIVAN — Bernard Ramon Childs Sullivan, 78, passed away on the early morning of Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022.

Mr. Sullivan was born Dec. 26, 1943, to the late George E. Sr. and Lucretia Way Sullivan. He graduated from Ralph Bunche High School in 1962; and he was the running back known as “Benny the Kid” on the state championship team in 1960. He served in the U.S. Army from June 1965 to June 1967. Mr. Sullivan was employed with Hercules Inc. and retired with 36 years of service.

Bernard married the love of his life, the late Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Sullivan, on Nov. 1, 1971.

He was a gentle and caring man. He will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him.

Besides his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, George E. Sullivan Jr., Patricia Kight, James C. Sullivan, Mack H. Sullivan and Cheryl Sullivan.

Mr. Sullivan is survived by his children, Pamela Sullivan, Michael Mainor Sr. (Shaleise), Maurice Sullivan, Cory Sullivan (Kala), Keris Sullivan, Brandon Sullivan and Brandi Sullivan-Anderson; brother, Homer Sullivan; two sisters, Ann Weston and Gloria Williams (Theodore); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Everyone planning to attend services are asked to wear your mask as to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus and observe social distancing guidelines.

Services will be live streamed through our website at royalfuneralhomeinc.com.

Remains will be viewed from 9-10 a.m. at the cemetery Friday.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, at Woodbine Cemetery on Highway 110.

Final arrangements are entrusted to Royal Funeral Home in Jesup, Ga.
