Eddie was a graduate of Brunswick High School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Troy State University. He started his law enforcement career in 1999 with the Glynn County Police Department, and since 2009, he was employed with the Camden County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit. He was also an insurance agent and the owner of Hardman Insurance Agency in Brunswick. He was of the Catholic faith. He was a loving husband, father, son and friend to many. Eddie always held service to others as a high priority in his life. His love for animals was the driving force for him serving in the K-9 Unit. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports, volunteering and supporting numerous police associations, the Georgia Police K9 Foundation with Camden Special Needs Partners. He was a Georgia Bulldog enthusiast, supporter and contributor to the Brunswick High School and Glynn Academy Booster clubs and also loved his Boston Red Sox. Eddie was loved by everyone who knew him and will be missed by all.

The family will receive friends between 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service to honor Eddie’s life will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, at Northside Baptist Church in Brunswick. The burial will follow the service at Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery with the Camden County Sheriff’s Honor Guard giving honors and last call.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for memorial contributions made in Eddie’s memory to the Camden County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit Fund.
