Dennis “Denny Mo” Michael Freeman, 57, of St. Marys passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, at his residence while under the care of Hospice of the Golden Isles.

Denny Mo was born July 9, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan, to Charles Fredrick and Donna Maxine Malone Freeman. He was a 1982 Graduate of Edwin Denby High School in Detroit. After graduation from high school, he moved to south Georgia, where he was employed as a master technician with Ford Motor Company of Kingsland. He enjoyed working on anything with a motor, as it was more of a hobby than a job. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and always enjoyed a good Low Country Boil or BBQ. He was well known by many and was always willing to help a friend or neighbor in need. Dennis was surrounded by his family til the end and with the support of hospice care.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 at Allison Memorial Chapel. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. until service time. A private burial will follow.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Rhonda Freeman; a son, Dennis Michael Freeman Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; twin sister, Denise Lawless of Plant City, Florida; sisters, Susan Tempest (Donald) of Citra, Florida, Debra Risley (Lawrence) of Harrison Township, Michigan; brothers, Thomas Lee Freeman of Fernandina, Florida, and Todd Freeman (Tami) of Folkston; three grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. He was also a great uncle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Danny, Donald and Patrick Freeman.
