Aldreth Bruce Funderburk was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Bruce left this world to be with the lord on Feb. 18, 2022, at the age of 73.

Bruce was born to Margie and Al Funderburk on March 25, 1948, in Mayo, Florida. Bruce graduated from Camden County High School and went on to work as a millwright at Gilman Paper Company for 33 years. He loved hunting, fishing, golf and especially his Georgia Bulldogs. Bruce was also a handy man for all things and if you needed your car worked on or a shelf built he was the one to call.

  Bruce married the love of his life, Sarah, on May 28, 1999. They both brought in children to make one of the best families you could ask for. He and Sarah are a perfect match for each other, they had a love that was infinite.

  Bruce is survived by his wife, Sarah Funderburk; mother, Marjorie Funderburk; children, Tammy and Bill Crow, Christy Cox, Chris and Cari Peddycoart and Garrett and Amanda Golden; his grandchildren, Mark, Chelsey, Katie and Chris, Justin, Jordan, Taylor and Jeffery, Kendall, Joseph, Canyon, Carter, Logan, Ella, Bryson and Emilie; his great-grandchildren, Clint, Nova and Cade; siblings, Gail and Buford Hancock, Steve and Nancy Funderburk, Jeff and Debbie Funderburk and Terry Funderburk.

He is preceded in death by his father, Aldreth "Al" Funderburk, and his son, Clint Bruce Funderburk.

Pallbearers will include Mark Brock, Justin Cox, Garrett Golden, Bill Crow, Chris Peddycoart and Russ Smith.

  Visitation was held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22 at Allison Memorial Chapel. Funeral services started at 3:30 p.m. and burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery.
