Wardell Hubbard was a lifelong St. Marys native where he attended Ralph Bunche High School. He lived a comfortable life until his death on Jan. 1, 2022.
Wardell was born on Nov. 25, 1940 to the late Arthur and Vivian Hubbard. He was the fourth of 13 children. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Arthur Lewis Hubbard, Michael Hubbard, C. Eugene Hubbard and Hosea Hubbard.
Wardell leaves to cherish his memories children Dannette Hill, Lisa (Vincent) Foster, Tracie Hubbard and Wardell (Tricia) Hubbard; siblings Evelyn Sabb, Vola Mae McCartney, Fannie Richo, Jack Hubbard, Billy (Willie Marie) Hubbard, Fostina Mitchell, Sterling Hubbard, Enoch Hubbard, and sister-in-law Sarah Hubbard; grandchildren Melvin Bryant, Andrew Williams, Vincent D. Foster, Bryant Foster, Lamar "Chris" Lindsay, Jordan Lindsay and Kennedy Tinsley. He also
leaves a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A private ceremony will be held in Jacksonville, Florida. Arrangements will be handled by Buggs-Bellamy Funeral Service 2936 Jerry Lane, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
