READDICK – Mrs. Joyce Readdick, 91, passed away in the evening hours of Monday, Aug. 8, 2022, at her home in St. Marys, Ga.

Mrs. Readdick was born May 24, 1931, in Kingsland, Ga., to the late Dolphus and Bernadette (Oriel) Wainwright. She married her "loggin’ man,” Mr. Wilbur Readdick, on July 23, 1949, and the couple celebrated 70 years of marriage, love and “good sugar” before his passing.

Mrs. Readdick will always be remembered as a mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Her zest for life, family, friendship and her Lord has left a lasting impression on all who knew her and her legacy lives on in each of us.

Mrs. Readdick is survived by her children, Teresa (John) McDill, Rocky (Linda) Readdick and daughter-in-law, Teresa Readdick, all of Kingsland, Ga.; grandchildren, Brandy (Lane) McConnell, Jonathan (Erin) McDill, Trevor (Nicole) Readdick, Gregory Jackson and Phelan Readdick; and great-grandchildren, Carrigan McConnell, Caden McConnell, Readdick “Reed” McDill, Ethan McDill and Frazier Readdick.

Besides her parents, brother (Elmer Wainwright) and late husband, Mrs. Readdick also joins her sons, W. Gary Readdick and Glenn F. Readdick, and many beloved relatives and friends in Heaven.

An open visitation was 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, at the Kingsland First Baptist Church, 295 E. Chester St. in Kingsland, Ga. Funeral services followed at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Brian Parker presiding. Interment was at Brazell-Peeples Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga. following services. Pallbearers presiding were Rocky Readdick, Trevor Readdick, Jonathan McDill, Gregory Jackson, Phelan Readdick, John Miller and John McDill (honorary).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Kingsland First Baptist Church, to the charity of your choice, or to someone in need as she would do.

Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga., is entrusted with Mrs. Readdick’s arrangements.
