Anthony “Tony” Lesho Sr., 69, fought a very difficult battle with COPD over several years, and unfortunately passed away suddenly from complications due to the disease.

Anthony was born in Akron, Ohio. on Feb. 20, 1952, growing up and living there in the Northeast Ohio area until moving to Southeast Georgia in 1998 with his family. Anthony worked as a diesel mechanic by trade, and shortly after moving, he opened his own business offering these services on a mobile basis to commercial companies. He continued to work up until just a couple weeks prior to his death. He was very hard working and actually loved to work!

His hobbies were spending time with his family and enjoying time outdoors fishing and camping with them, enjoying holidays and weekly family visits and dinners. He prioritized making sure his family was taken care of and being there for them if needed. He will be missed dearly and thought of fondly, as he lived for others and not himself.

He leaves behind his daughter, JoAda Niklas, his son, Anthony Lesho Jr., and his two grandchildren, Vairek and Ella.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlena Kay Lesho, his father, Joseph Lesho Sr., his mother, Josephine Lesho, his brother, Joseph Lesho Jr., and his sister, Mary Lupica and his son-in-law, Richard J. Niklas II.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3 at Allison Memorial Chapel and Funeral Home, located at 10141 Colerain Road in St. Marys, GA 31558. Those who wish to send flowers may direct them to the funeral home. Those who would like to make a donation to be used toward a memorial plaque for his final resting location or other related expenses may send it to the family at P.O. Box 2277, Kingsland, GA 31548.

Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
