Emily Joy Marano, 13, of Kingsland passed away at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus, on Oct. 5, 2021.
Emily Joy was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on Nov. 12, 2007. She was an eighth-grade student at Camden Middle School. Emily loved drawing, singing, playing basketball, taking pictures and most all of her family. She was sassy, charismatic and loving. She never met a stranger and she marched to the beat of her own drum.
Survivors are her mother, Michele Marano of Kingsland; a brother, Jeffrey Marano of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Casey Varnadore (Alex) of Hampton, Virginia, Cera Marano (Cody) of Melbourne, Florida; her twin sister, Olivia Marano of Kingsland; a niece, Norah Varnadore; and a nephew, Gavin Garza.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marlon Joyce.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8 at Allison Memorial Chapel with Bruce Vaughn officiating. Visitation was held one hour prior to service time.
