STRICKLAND — Mark Robert Strickland was born Aug. 1, 1960, to Alton Strickland and Dorothy Strickland in New York, N.Y. Mark attended Camden County High School. He worked at Bayer Crop Science for more than 20 years as a process equipment operator until he retired.

Mark became a member of the St. Paul A.M.E. Church family at a young age. He was a strong believer in God. He was very knowledgeable in God’s word. Mark was a dynamic dresser. He took great pride in his appearance. He loved his family and had many friends. He will be greatly missed.

Mark was joined in holy wedlock to Carletha Brewton on Aug. 11, 1984. She preceded him in death.

Mark departed this life Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, at his home.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother, Dorothy Strickland; father, Alton Strickland of New Carrolton, Md.; adopted daughter, Ciara Cobb; two brothers, Troy Strickland and Dexter (Pearlie) Strickland; uncle, Charlie (Virginia) Poole; aunts, Emma Hill of Woodbine, Ga., Florine Pope of Palatka, Fla., and Yvonne Jackson of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers-in-law, Jeff Brewton and Marcy (Joyce) Brewton; sister-in-law, Elaine Brewton; special friend, Beverly Blackmon; godchildren, Jamal Poole, Cortez Benefield and Chuckie; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022, at Woodbine Cemetery, Ga. Highway 110 in Woodbine, Ga. There will be no wake.
