HARRIS — Melissa Ann Harris, 55, of Kingsland, Ga., departed this world to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside in Jacksonville, Fla.
Melissa was born April 7, 1967, to the late Tommie Joe Harris Jr. and Willie Ruth Harris. She attended Camden County public schools and graduated from Camden County High School in the class of 1985. At an early age, Melissa joined Georgia Avenue Church of God. Former employers include the Camden County Board of Education and the Camden County Sheriff’s Office.
Besides her father, those preceding her in death are her sister, Sherrie Harris, and granddaughter, Zanariah Janee Frison.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, LaRoderick Frison Sr., Octavia Sheree Frison and Ryan O’Neal Frison; grandchildren, LaRoderick Frison Jr., Aulani Michelle Frison, JaRyah Frison, Jesse Joe Frison and Zyan O’Neal Frison; loving mother, Willie Ruth Harris; siblings, Kenneth (Tina) Hampton, Toni (Steve) Bell, Darlene Harris and Joe (Tasha) Harris; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Georgia Avenue Church of God, 740 N. Georgia St. in Kingsland. A walk-thru wake/visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
