Martha Elizabeth Deal Mullis, 75, of Kingsland passed away Monday, Nov. 8, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 8, 1946, in Hartford, Alabama, to the late Willie Shoffnor Deal and Johnnie May Doswell Deal. She worked for many years at Walmart in Kingsland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Goodson; her brothers, Randall Deal and Edward Deal; sister-in-law, Mary Deal; a grandson, Dillon Bartimus; and her companion, William Sisney.
She is survived by her children, Nathaniel Mullis (Maxie), Steven Mullis (Rhonda) and Marcia Bartimus (Mark); sisters, Sarah Womack and Betty Carpenter (David); brothers, Billy Deal, Jack Deal (Phyllis), Johnny Deal, Jessie Wayne Deal (Martha), David Deal, Tony Deal (Nona), Donald Deal (Darla); sisters-in-law, Verdell Deal and Margaret Deal; grandchildren, Lindsey Yarbrough (Trey Martin), Cody Bartimus (Kelli), Cameron Bartimus (Lexi), Caleb Bartimus, Phillip Mullis, Danny Mullis, Rachel Mullis and Madison Mullis; and a number of great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13 at Racepond Cemetery at Sand Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Trent Long and Rev. Frank Sikes officiating.
