NEFF – Patricia J. Renfro Neff, 97, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, at the Warner Center Community Hospice in Fernandina Beach, Fla.

Born Sept. 4, 1924, in Laramie, Wyo., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Horace Renfro and Eula Mulhall Renfro.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, John Valentine Neff; brother, Joseph H. Renfro Jr.; son, Josef Valentine Neff; and son-in-law, Bobby Wells.

Survivors include her son, John Michael Neff (Mary) of St. Marys; daughter, Mary Eileen Ludlum of Broken Arrow, Okla.; daughter-in-law, Anita Neff of Atlanta; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and special nieces and nephews.

Pat lived in St. Marys for 23 years. She was an avid reader, talented interior decorator and a dedicated hospital volunteer. She was a fan of sports, particularly football and Chicago Cubs baseball. She and John were generous supporters of Our Lady Star of the Sea historic chapel and the new church. They enjoyed traveling the world and had many wonderful adventures.

Her family wants to thank the staff at Magnolia Manor for the care, friendship and love shown to Pat over the 14 years she resided there. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in memory of Pat can be made to Magnolia Manor or Community Hospice.

Pat's wishes were for cremation and no memorial service. Inurnment will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery next to her husband at a later date.

Allison Memorial Chapel of St. Marys is in charge of the arrangements.
