Irene M. Peeples, 92, of Folkston passed away at Life Care Center in Hilliard on Friday, Feb. 18, 2022. She was born in Woodbine on Jan. 17, 1930, to the late Jim McKenney and Jessie Colson McKenney. She was a member of Folkston United Methodist Church.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Gayle (Bud) Cantrell; her sons, Lynwood A. (Gerlinde) Peeples Jr. and Ronald Cliff (Barbara) Peeples; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at Shepard Roberson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Folkston. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22 at Shepard Roberson Funeral Home.
