Mr. Crittendon “Pete” Sellers, 74, of St. Marys passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick. 

Born in Brunswick on June 18, 1947, to the late C.G. and Wynell Sellars, Pete lived in Brunswick until moving to St. Marys in 1968 after a tour in Vietnam. Pete was employed by Gilman Paper Company, where he gave 34 years of faithful service. After Gilman Paper Company closed, he worked for Evans Delivery in Savannah as a truck driver.  He loved driving and thought the world of the people he worked with there. He enjoyed the simple things of life such as drinking a good cup of coffee and eating a home-cooked meal. Pete especially enjoyed hunting with his good friends at Tarboro Hunting Club, fishing, watching TV Westerns, NASCAR races and watching UGA football.

Pete is survived by his wife, Wanda Sellers of St. Marys; his daughters, Lisa Connell Jordan (Jay) of St. Marys and Tara Sellers Ball of St. Marys; his sister, Joenell Murray of Woodbine; his grandchildren, Hudson Jordan, Harrison Jordan, Joshua Jordan, Sophia Ball, James Ball and William Ball; his nephew, Gene Murray (Mindy) of Kingsland; his niece, Karen Murray of Woodbine; and a number of great nieces, nephews and extended family members. 

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway Brunswick, GA 31525.
