Juanita “Mz. Foxxy” Harris Arso Thompson departed this life at her daughter’s residence in Terrytown, Louisiana, on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at the age of 54.

She was a native to New Orleans, Louisiana, and a resident of St. Marys. She attended O. Perry Walker High School New Orleans, Penn Foster, and Ashworth College in Atlanta. 

She was a member of The River of Camden, pastor Eric Williams, of St. Marys., but while in New Orleans, she was under the covering and leadership of pastor David Ford, Celebration Churc—Westbank Terrytown. Juanita was the devoted mother of Ronald (Terriyanna) Arso Sr., Donishia (Javario) Arso-Frison, Allen Jr. (Carolyn) and Janealishia Arso, daughter of the late Bernard Benny Harris Sr. and Lois Naomi Edinburgh Harris Thomas, granddaughter of the late Benjamin Edinburgh, Sr., Daisy Edinburgh Palmer, Ben Harris and Louis Smith-Harris, sister of Connie Hamilton and her twin Bernita (Rodney) Payton Frison, Bernard Benny Harris Jr., Regan Harris-Johnson, Crystal Harris, Andrea Burton and Terecita Lavalais; and niece of the late Charlie Harris Sr., Benjamin Edinburgh Jr., Terri Harris and Juanita Edinburgh.

Juanita is also survived by her pride and joy, 12 grandchildren and two godchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, Grandma Pamela Taylor of St. Marys, 29 adopted Marine sons, two adopted Marine daughters, and her Kings Bay and Camden County family and friends.
