Marilyn Marlene Waye, 80, of Kingsland passed away at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden campus on Nov. 2, 2021.

Marilyn was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on July 20, 1941, to the late Larue and Sarah Transue. She was in the United States Air Force and was a ticket agent while in the military. She worked for American Megatrends as an inspector for circuit boards. In her earlier years, she enjoyed volunteering at nursing homes and helped out with vacation Bible schools, where she and her friends liked to dress up as clowns. She also volunteered with pregnancy crisis centers and was a member of First Baptist Church of Kingsland. Marilyn loved spending time with her family. 

She is survived by her husband, Frank Waye of Kingsland, brothers, Sonny Transue of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Eddie Transue of New Port Richey, Florida, two sons, Travis Young (Michelle) of Texas and Denver Young of Ohio, a step-daughter, Laura Adams of Hoschton, grandchildren, Austin, Krystal, Jackson, Kristy and Reece, two great-grandsons. 

Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday Nov. 13, at West Millen Baptist Church in Millen.

Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
