William Lamar "Bobo" Warren, 70, of Kingsland, Ga., entered into his eternal reward Sept. 6, 2022, after an extended illness at Southeast Georgia Health Center in Brunswick, Ga. Lamar was surrounded by his family and friends at the time of his death.

Lamar was a lifelong resident of Camden County with most of those years being in St. Marys. Lamar served in the U.S. Army from 1972-75, and was an employee of Durango Paper, formerly Gilman Paper, for more than 30 years. He was also a deacon of the Westside Baptist Church of St. Marys. Lamar was married for 50 years to the love of his life, Carol L. Thomas Warren, and the father of William Richard Warren and Amy Louise Coleman.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol of Kingsland, Ga.; son, William Richard Warren (Lucy) of Pooler, Ga.; daughter, Amy Louise Coleman (Stephen) of Rota, Spain; granddaughter, Graison Joy Conn; grandson, Stephen Ashby Warren; sister-in-law, Joy Thomas Mann (Randy) of Kingsland, Ga.; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends.

Lamar was preceded in death by his father, William Rabon "Plowboy" Warren; mother, Louise Warren; and sister, Gwendolyn Nance.

Services was Sept. 10, 2022, at Westside Baptist Church in St. Marys, Ga., with visitation at 10 a.m. and services at 11 a.m., with Pastor James Roberson officiating. Immediately following the service, burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys, Ga. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Westside Baptist Church Social Hall renovation fund.
