Plans to put 640 residences – primarily single-family homes and a number of townhomes – between Laurel Island Parkway and Bristol Hammock Road in Kingsland came under fire from nearby residents as the Kingsland City Council considered approving the plans this week.
The suspect, Rodney Rauls Rountree, 55, was shot by at least one Camden County Sheriff’s Office deputy after the suspect opened fire on the 1700 block of Kinlaw Road. GBI Special Agent in Charge Stacy Carson said multiple deputies shot at Roundtree, but could not release information on how many of those shots hit the suspect.
