Lockhart rolls to win for St. Marys mayor

Longtime St. Marys resident Greg Lockhart will be the city’s next mayor. Lockhart, 60, collected 72% of the vote, besting St. Marys City Councilwoman Lisa James, who secured 28% of the vote in the Tuesday runoff for the city’s top political office.

Another water line break hits Kingsland

On the heels of a water line break along Satilla Street on Nov. 7, Kingsland suffered another one as a contractor damaged a line Nov. 22 in the area of Middle School Road, near Ga. Highway 40. A worker laying fiber cable caused the damage in the first break.

Camden County High School’s Theatre Department recently won the Region 1-6A One-Act Play festival Nov. 7 in Tifton with its production of “A Year with Frog and Toad.” This is the second consecutive region championship for the high school.
