The spring election season isn’t over just yet.
The Republican nomination for Georgia House Seat 180 has advanced to a runoff pitting incumbent state Rep. Steven Sainz vs. political newcomer Glenn Cook.
The General Primary Election Runoff is scheduled for 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 18.

On Tuesday, about 19% of Camden County voters cast ballots to decide a variety of local races. One of those races is going to a runoff.
In the GOP bid for House Seat 180, Steven Sainz collected 49.

Kingsland man pleads guilty to murder

A Kingsland man accused of shooting and killing his wife pleaded guilty to the crime recently, with the court sentencing him to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
Octavin Devon Grace, 43, was in an altercation with his wife, Ruby English, at their apartment on Aug.

Attorneys for the Camden County Sheriff’s Office had good reason to feel positive emerging from the summary judgment hearing in federal court in Brunswick recently, regarding a lawsuit brought by Latoya James’ family after deputies shot and killed her in 2021 while executing a search warrant.
