Gov. Brian Kemp signed into law House Bill 188 on Thursday, May 4. The legislation – Mariam’s Law – was sponsored by state Rep. Steven Sainz, R-St. Marys.
Six Camden County High School seniors – Serena Moyeno, Riley Miller, Aryana LeGlise, Raina Croxton, Jessica Wright and Eowyn Agullo – participated in Georgia Future Educators Signing Day on May 2.
According the Flagler County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Quinntavus Kwame Jordan, of Douglas, Ga., is accused of armed robbery in Palm Coast. Jordan fled the scene and was caught in Kingsland after a store clerk at a gas station shot the suspect.
