Camden County Sheriff's Office: No data lost in cyber attack

Last week, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office was hit with a cyber attack, but Col. Chuck Byerly said the law enforcement agency lost no data and the would-be thieves caused no damage. “They tried to get in and hit us, but fortunately, our IT (information technology) guys caught it,” Byerly said.

NAACP Camden County honors veterans

In recognition of National Vietnam Veterans Day on March 29, the NAACP Camden County Branch honored branch members who are Vietnam Veterans during its general membership meeting Thursday, March 21. Honorees were Vietnam War veterans Joe Bryant, Ernest “Sarge” Stevens and Pastor Leon Washington.

Those who desire a night out at the movies will need to leave Camden County. On March 20, GTC Kings Bay Cinemas announced it was closing for good. “We want to express our deepest gratitude for your support and enthusiasm,” a Facebook posting from GTC Kings Bay Cinemas said.
