Kingsland police: Husband killed spouse

A 41-year-old Kingsland man is behind bars and charged with killing his spouse, according to a news release from the Kingsland Police Department. Octavin Devon Grace was booked into the Camden County Jail at 9:51 p.m.

Camden commissioners approve multiple road-related contracts

Camden County commissioners approved a spate of road-related items Tuesday, Aug. 1, during a regularly scheduled meeting. During the meeting, commissioners agreed to purchase limestone for unpaved roads, and awarded two contracts connected to road repaving in the county.

Kingsland police officer arrested

A Kingsland Police Department officer was arrested Tuesday and charged with violation of oath of office, a felony, and false report of a crime, a misdemeanor, according to a news release from the law enforcement agency.

Camden jail leader to retire

Five Camden County Sheriff’s Office corrections officers have been arrested since November 2022, and now the jail’s administrator has retired. Maj. Rob Mastroianni Sr., 67, who led the jail during a tumultuous time, said he retired in July after more than 30 years in law enforcement.
