  The city of Kingsland lowered its millage rate for the fifth consecutive year Monday night. During the City Council’s 40-minute meeting, city leaders quickly dispatched a long list of items accrued due to a lack of a quorum at a meeting earlier in September.

The city of St. Marys will soon be opening a city marina. On Monday evening, City Council unanimously approved the St. Marys Intercoastal Gateway Marina’s operations manual, budget, rules and fees. City Manager Robby Horton said the city staff is projecting a “soft opening” of the marina Oct. 2.
