Kingsland City Council hears 1st budget proposal

Kingsland City Council heard its first presentation of the 2023-24 budget Monday evening, and City Council members appeared pleased with the financial progress the city is making. The proposed budget – presented by Finance Director Filiz Morrow – includes the addition of 11.5 positions and $24.

Hurricane Idalia came and went. On Wednesday, Camden County experiences the outer edges of the hurricane, which made landfall in Florida as a Category 3 storm. A late push to the west kept Camden County of her direct path, but damage and power outages were reported Wednesday and Thursday.

At the Aug. 15 regular meeting, the Camden County Board of Commissioners recognized the Georgia Department of Transportation for its $750,000 contribution to improvements on Horse Stamp Church Road.
