CCHS Gymcats post 99.85, take first place at Viking Invitational

The Camden County varsity Gymcats scored a 99.85 for first place of 12 teams last Saturday at the Lowndes Viking Invitational.  Jamie Walker earned three top-three placements, and Alyssa Thompson, Grace Rose, Eliana Wallace, Sarah Garrett and Addison Davis closed either second or third.

CCHS boys golfers post 332 at Johnny Paulk

The Camden County High boys golfers carded a 332 aggregate for ninth place last Saturday at the Johnny Paulk Invitational on Jekyll Island. R.J. James’ 76 was lowest for the Wildcats. Cash Dowling (84), Dylan Mullen (85) and Collins Tipton (87) factored in their total, and Dillon Brown posted 93.

Bobcats defeat Camden Middle in Steve Conner Classic

St. Marys Middle scored six second-inning runs and defeated Camden Middle, 10-0 Monday in the Steve Conner Classic at the Camden County High diamond.  Skye Puckett drove in four runs and Grady Benton threw a one-hitter in the four-inning contest while striking out three.

Girls netters stay perfect in region; boys serve up two wins

The Camden County girls tennis team rose to 4-0 in Region 1-6A play with three wins between last week and Tuesday, while the boys posted their first two conference triumphs. The Wildcat netters swept host Lowndes Feb. 25, and returned home to take two from Colquitt last Friday.

Patterson to take flight at Air Force

Fresh off his third state championship and helping the Camden County wrestlers to another sweep of the state duals and traditional crowns, Bradley Patterson will continue competing at Air Force.

Camden sweeps Region 1-6A matches from Tift

Bouncing back from their only defeats this season, the Camden County High boys and girls soccer teams swept a Region 1-6A doubleheader from host Tift last Friday. The boys posted their fourth shutout and the girls got two goals apiece from Shania Hardy and Kaitlyn Grooms.
