Boys golfers are 10th in Douglas

Griffin Blount tied for ninth individually and R.J. James shared 11th as the Camden County High boys golfers placed 10th of 20 teams Monday at the Neil Graham Invitational in Douglas. Blount carded a 78 and James a 79, and Camden a 341 aggregate at Douglas Country Club.

Wildcats split 1-7A twinbill, fall at Lowndes

Camden County notched its fourth Region 1-7A win in a doubleheader split last Friday aagainst visiting Richmond Hill, but slipped to 4-6 in the region with a Tuesday loss at Lowndes.

Valdosta is no match as CCHS soccer rolls to sweep

Camden County High Senior Night soccer fans last Friday were treated to bushels of goals and two runaway shutouts for the home school. The sweep of overmatched Valdosta boosted the boys (9-5 overall) to 5-2 in Region 1-7A and the girls (10-4 overall) to 4-3.

CCHS track and field teams fifth, 11th at Brunswick

The Camden County High boys track and field team placed fifth and the girls 11th last Friday at the second annual Big Play Slay Invitational hosted by Brunswick High. The boys, with 45.5 team points, got second in the high jump (6-2) from David Coleman, and second in the 300 hurdles (39.
