Camden soccer sweeps Frederica

The Camden County High girls soccer team won their third straight match and ninth overall, and the boys improved to 8-5 in a Tuesday sweep at Frederica Academy. Shania Hardy scored her team-high 14th and 15th goals of the season in the girls’ 5-0 triumph.

Camden places fourth at national JROTC rifle championships

Jordan de Jesus’ record-breaking performance highlighted Camden County’s fourth-place team finish at the National JROTC rifle championships last Thursday through Saturday in Ohio. This year’s competition, coach Stephen Banta said, had some of the highest scores in its 20-year history.

Gymcats close season strong, win last two meets

The Camden County High varsity and junior varsity gymnastics teams both won their last two meets last weekend in Milledgeville and McDonough. Last Friday, the varsity scored a 94.95 in McDonough, then followed that with a 101.1 last Saturday in Milledgeville. The junior varsity’s marks were 87.

CCHS soccer sweeps Colquitt

The Camden County girls soccer squad won their third Region 1-7A match and the boys their fourth last Friday by sweeping Colquitt at Chris Gilman Stadium. A non-region split followed Tuesday at Wayne.
