The Camden County High boys track and field team placed fifth and the girls 11th last Friday at the second annual Big Play Slay Invitational hosted by Brunswick High. The boys, with 45.5 team points, got second in the high jump (6-2) from David Coleman, and second in the 300 hurdles (39.

’Cat boys linksters post 356 mark at Moultrie tournament

The Camden County High boys golfers carded a combined 356 for 21st place out of 30 teams last Saturday at the Packer Invitational in Moultrie. The host course, Sunset Country Club, will be the same one the Wildcats will tackle for the area tournament in two weeks.

Camden places fourth at national JROTC rifle championships

CCHS girls place third, boys fourth at Richmond Hill track meet

Camden County track and field athletes Rickey Williams and Akeelah Bryan won events and Dasmine Cooper tied for first place in another Monday in the Game Changers Apex Invitational at Richmond Hill. Williams won the 200 sprint (21.83) for the boys, who were fourth of eight schools with 87 points.

Gymcats close season strong, win last two meets

The Camden County High varsity and junior varsity gymnastics teams both won their last two meets last weekend in Milledgeville and McDonough. Last Friday, the varsity scored a 94.95 in McDonough, then followed that with a 101.1 last Saturday in Milledgeville. The junior varsity’s marks were 87.
