Man suspected in Florida murder kills himself during Kingsland traffic stop

A man accused of killing his wife and 4-year-old daughter killed himself during a traffic stop in Kingsland on Tuesday.
According to a news release from the Ocala, Fla. Police Department, police responded to a condominium after gunshots were reported by a neighboring unit.

Lakshmanan met with local businessman and philanthropist CB Yadav, and toured Cumberland Island and St. Marys.

St. Marys City Council opts to not renew city manager contract

At the end of a four-and-a-half hour meeting Monday night, St. Marys City Council voted to not renew City Manager Robby Horton’s contract.
The council voted 4-2 to not renew the contract, with Chad Ingram and Steve Conner opposed to the decision.

Camden County Joint Development Authority receives $2M grant for economic development project

A new commerce park in Camden County received a boost from Gov. Brian Kemp’s office late last week.
The Camden County Joint Development Authority (JDA) was awarded a $2 million grant from the state’s Rural Site Development Initiative, a part of the OneGeorgia Authority.
