Economic development organization seeks planner, broker for mill site

After a reputable developer failed to make significant progress — or pay his debts — for the much ballyhooed Cumberland Inlet development, the Camden County Joint Development Authority (JDA) is taking its first swing at the massive St. Marys project.

Camden County 4-H takes students to competition

The Georgia 4-H Southeast District Project Achievement competition was Feb. 6-8 at Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton. During the event, 7th- through 12th-grade 4-H’ers from 39 Southeast Georgia counties gathered to compete in 49 different project areas.

The Camden County Board of Commissioners have appointed a new leader of the county government – for now. Deputy County Administrator Joey Yacobacci was unanimously elevated to interim county administrator Feb. 3 by commissioners.
