Shannon Herrin didn’t even think about it. He heard someone yell, “Help them! Help them!” He looked. Two men and a young boy were in the river, shocked to suddenly be in the water and struggling to stay afloat as the tide pulled them out. “I didn’t even think to grab a life jacket,” Shannon said.

With coronavirus still circulating, the St. Marys Senior Center has been closed for the rest of the year to help protect members from possible exposure. The closure is not permanent. “We understand the importance of the center,” city manager Robby Horton said last week.

K-9 Moose retires from CCSO

Moose was a whole lot of dog with an even bigger job, but on Thursday, June 4, he stepped down from the Camden County Sheriff's Office after eight years of faithful service.  He was honored that day with a retirement luncheon at the sheriff’s office substation (CCSO) in St. Marys.
