Firefighter faces felony for allegedly filming coworker

A St. Marys firefighter was arrested last week for allegedly trying to film a coworker while she was in the bathroom at the fire station. Connor Wade Hodges, 22, of Hilliard, Florida, was arrested Sept. 1 and charged with unlawful eavesdropping or surveillance, which is a felony.

Accident kills man on Laurel Island

A St. Marys man died early Sunday morning after being hit by a car on Laurel Island Parkway. Around 3 a.m., Izak Bruce Rewis, 19, crashed his car on the parkway, walked away and ended up laying down in the middle of the road, according to accident reports for Georgia State Patrol.
