Police investigating unrelated aggravated assaults

St. Marys and Kingsland police are investigating after one man was shot and another was threatened with a gun in two separate incidents last week. In St. Marys, police arrested 31-year-old Jose Rafael Garcia-Salles for aggravated assault on June 3 after a shooting around 8 p.m.

Judge sentences first Kings Bay Plowshare

The first of seven activists, who broke into Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base to protest nuclear weapons, was sentenced to time served Monday as more than 200 people listened in. The other six activists will be sentenced later this month.

Camden denies garbage rate increase
