Three St. Marys City Council hopefuls faced off in a candidate forum Feb. 23 at Three Rivers Church. Chad Ingram, Jay Moreno and Mike Wilkie are vying for the Post 3 seat that was vacated when Councilman-elect Danny Riggins died.

Charges dropped vs. jailhouse beating victim

The Brunswick Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office has dropped charges against a 41-year-old Greensboro, N.C., man who was allegedly beaten in the Camden County Jail. According to a warrant dismissal, charges were dropped against Jarrett Jarrod Hobbs.

Special athletes awarded letter jackets

In the end, the size of a person’s accomplishment can best be measured by the size of their heart. Last Thursday, eight Camden County High students were honored at the Heart of a Champion celebration for their participation in Special Olympics programs, and school and community activities.
