GILBERT – Beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, Steve Wiley Gilbert, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 27, 2022. Steve is the first child of Charles and Diane Gilbert, and he was born July 23, 1967, in Athens, Ga.

Dennis Gary Lovell

LOVELL – Dennis Gary Lovell Sr., 89, passed away Nov. 22, 2022, in Salem, Ore. Dennis was born Jan. 2, 1933, in St. Marys, Ga., to Rufus Alexander and Mildred Lee (Bowen) Lovell. Dennis graduated from Camden County High School (Wildcats) in 1950.

Elsbeth “Ebby” Schmulzeck Conklin

CONKLIN — Elsbeth “Ebby” Schmulzeck Conklin, 85, of Hilliard, Fla., passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022. She was born July 7, 1937, in Hanover, Germany, to the late Walter Emil Schmulzeck and Edith Wanda Schwanz Schmulzeck. Ebby grew up in Germany during World War II.

Jimmie Lee Geter Sr.

GETER — Mr. Jimmie Lee Geter Sr. was entrusted to the late Robert and Luchanie Geter on Feb. 1, 1952, in Woodbine, Ga. He was called home 6:30 a.m. Nov. 17, 2022. Jimmie was a jack of trades and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a master landscaper, fisher and crabber.

Aiko “Judy” Walker

WALKER — Aiko “Judy” Walker, 94, of St. Marys, Ga., passed away at her home Nov. 25, 2022, surrounded by her family. Aiko was born Aug.  25, 1928, in Taipei, Taiwan, to the late Tomezo and Naka Yoshioka. In 1957, Aiko met Jack Wades Walker on a military base in Japan. He was in the U.S.

CARTER — Rebecca Carter was born April 25, 1928, to Willie Mae and Robert Hamilton in Ludowici in Long County, Ga. She was married to Jonathan Carter, and together, they had nine children.

John Kamwah Cheung

CHEUNG — John Kamwah Cheung, 74, of North Wilkesboro, N.C., passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, at his home. He was born Dec. 27, 1947, in Hong Kong to Zing Cheung and Mui Chan. John loved cooking for his family and watching football.

CLARK — Mr. James Lucius Clark, 85, of Powder Springs, Ga., passed away Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022. Mr. Clark, who was affectionately known as “Papa Jim” by his friends and family, was born April 25, 1937, in Brunswick, Ga., to the late Mr. Robert Lee Clark Jr. and the late Mrs.

Camilla Michelle Pearson Dammond

DAMMOND — Camilla Michelle Pearson Dammond was born Dec. 25, 1969, in Yulee (Nassau County), Fla., to the late Pearson and Lemon Dawson. She was educated in the public schools of Camden County. At an early age, she was converted and baptized as a member of Zion Sisters Baptist Church.
