State duals next after ’Cats roll to 1-6A title

The Region 1-6A duals championship secured, the Camden County High wrestlers turn their focus to state this weekend and potentially another title showdown with host Buford.  Last Saturday, the Wildcats progressed to the 16-team Class 6A duals with another dominant region showing in Kingsland.

Girls rise to 13-5, beat Tift, Brunswick

The Camden County girls ran their region record to 3-1 last Friday before stepping out of conference play Tuesday night to knock off a nearby rival. Winners of four of their last five games, the Lady Wildcats improved to 13-5 overall by edging Tift County and Brunswick.

Boys hold on, trip Devils for first region triumph

The Camden County boys are on the board in Region 1-6A. The Wildcats turned away Tift last Friday for their first conference win (1-3) and seventh overall, then tumbled Tuesday at Brunswick. The region schedule resumes Friday at Lowndes and continues Jan. 24 at Colquitt before a Jan.

Colquitt, Valdosta, Richmond Hill boys trip ’Cats in 1-6A play

A Region 1-6A win remains elusive for the Camden County boys cagers after defeats to Colquitt and Valdosta last weekend, and another to Richmond Hill Tuesday. The Wildcats (6-10 overall, 0-3 1-6A) welcome region rival Tift Friday, then visit Brunswick Tuesday and Lowndes Jan. 17.
