Nine girls wrestlers place fifth or better at Florida tourney

Led by first-place performances from Breanna Higgins and Gabriel Daniels, nine Camden County girls wrestlers placed fifth or higher at the Bobcat Round Robin last Friday and Saturday in Gainesville, Fla.

Bobcat wrestlers third, Cougars fifth at conference tournament

St. Marys Middle placed third and Camden Middle fifth in the seven-team conference traditional tournament last Thursday at Camden County High.  Jett Wilcox won the 80-pound bracket and Elijah Rozier at 130 for the Bobcats.

Level 4 is first; PSA gymnasts earn All-American honors

Camden PSA Gymnastics’ Level 4 team placed first and the XCel Bronze team third at the Radiant Classic Dec. 7 in Kissimmee, Fla. Three gymnasts earned All-American praise. Camden entrants earned 43 top-three placements, either solo or shared, across five levels of competition.

Balanced attack keys boys’ rout

The Camden County boys dominated from the opening tip and rode a balanced attack to blitz Glynn Academy, 82-32 last Saturday in Kingsland.  The Wildcats (4-2) got at least nine points from six players and 43 points from the bench.

Twelve Camden County High boys wrestlers topped their divisions, and six others were runners-up last weekend at the Danny Byron Invitational in Kissimmee, Fla. At Osceola High, wrestlers competed in either Gold, White or Blue divisions over two days of tough competition.
