NJROTC riflery hits target at Ware matches

Teams with the Camden County High NJROTC rifle program were first and second and produced the five best individual scores last Saturday in matches at the Ware rifle complex. The Camden A team won with a 1,154 score highlighted by Virginia Byrd’s 292, which was good for second individually.

Wildcats get first 1-6A win

Region 1-6A has one fewer unbeaten team. Camden County muzzled the region’s top rushing attack and rode an efficient, balanced offense to dispatch Richmond Hill, 28-10 last Friday at Chris Gilman Stadium.

Lowndes presents difficult test Friday

Region 1-6A has four teams at 1-1 in conference play. Two of them clash Friday night in Valdosta. Camden County and Lowndes, both 6-1 overall, have played every season since 2012, often with much in the balance.

Camden softball splits doubleheader with Lowndes, ends season

The Camden County High softball team closed a 12-15 season by splitting a home doubleheader Oct. 8 with Region 1-6A rival Lowndes. The Lady Wildcats lost the first game, 7-1, then won the second, 5-4 to finish a fifth-place 4-11 in the conference. The top four region teams qualified for state.

’Cats brace for Richmond Hill running attack

After Valdosta put two runners over 100 yards last week, Camden County prepared to face another prolific rushing attack this weekend. Richmond Hill (6-0 overall) won its Region 1-6A opener last Friday over Tift, 21-17 and was set to meet CCHS (5-1) Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Chris Gilman Stadium.
