National Wrestling Coaches Association honors Wilder

Fresh off the Wildcats’ ninth straight sweep of the state duals and traditional titles, Camden County High head wrestling coach Jess Wilder has been selected as the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Georgia Head Coach of the Year. “I’m appreciative. It’s an honor,” he said.

Forman to lead Wildcat track and field program

The Camden County High track and field program will leave the starting blocks next spring under new head coach Bill Forman. Forman brings extensive coaching experience at several schools. He was an CCHS assistant under previous head coach Terry Humphrey, and served in that role for six seasons.

Boomers swim to third at SGSL meet in Brunswick

The Camden County Boomer swimmers finished third of five teams and won 24 events last Saturday at a South Georgia Swim League (SGSL) meet in Brunswick. The Boomers got individual wins from eight swimmers and pocketed two relay triumphs while amassing 1,015 team points at the Golden Isles YMCA.

Southern Hospitality camp welcomes wrestlers

The difference between first and second places can be that one extra repetition during the summer, that one moment when nobody is watching. Roughly 300 wrestlers participated June 11-15 in the Southern Hospitality camp at Camden County High School.
