The last day of his life, Efren Medina lived his dream. He got to help people as an EMT and firefighter in training, working his first shift with the St. Marys Fire Department. “He was ecstatic to say the least. … It was a dream for him,” firefighter Cissy Kelley said on behalf of the department.

A look at the vaccine effort in Camden County

It’s not over yet but things are looking up in the fight against COVID-19 in Camden County — though masks, social distancing and hand washing are still recommended. The seven-day average for new cases is at 2.9 and the percent positive is 2.
