Christmas came early for dozens of coastal resiliency projects this year, with St. Marys getting in on the action to the tune of $517,500 to restore a former coastal marsh area and an estuary habitat, along with the creation of a downtown wetland park known as “the Spine.

Third- and fifth-graders in five Camden County elementary schools experienced the thrill of opening their own dictionaries recently, dictionaries that the Kiwanis Club of St. Marys awarded them as part of the Dictionary Project.

The Robert S. Abbott Race Unity Institute, headquartered in Glynn County, and Women United International, headquartered in Camden County, joined forces to provide a Bedtime Bag filled with a pair of pajamas and a book for 87 children of the Camden Head Start program in Woodbine.

Saltwater Performing Arts’ ‘Elf the Musical’ opens Thursday

Saltwater Performing Arts will present the heartwarming holiday classic, “Elf the Musical,” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, 1 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Theatre by the Trax. “Elf the Musical” is based on the beloved 2003 movie.
