Missing boat’s equipment seen near Fla. coast

The search for three missing Camden County boaters received a boost Monday when the fish box and buoy balls from the missing boat, the Carol Ann, were found 16 miles off the coast of St. Augustine, Fla., according to a Facebook post from the United Cajun Navy.

One dead in house fire

One person died Friday morning in a house fire at 504 Wheeler St. in St. Marys. St. Marys Fire Department Chief Thomas Lackner said fire officials received a call at about 1:35 a.m. Friday about the house fire, and in less than five minutes, the first fire truck arrived.
