Camden County approves rollback millage rate

The Camden County Board of Commissioners voted Tuesday night to lower the county’s millage rate to the rollback rate of 13.139 mills, a reduction of 6.15% from last year’s 14.000 millage rate.

Coastal Pines Technical College has recently purchased a 52-foot mobile welding lab. This self-contained trailer is outfitted with state-of-the-art welding tool sets and equipment to make up eight working welding booths.

The Camden County Public Service Authority selected a sole finalist for its executive director position Tuesday night in a special called meeting, but support from the board was not unanimous amid a high-profile resignation in the candidate’s past.
