Camden swim teams place in top three at regionals

For the third consecutive year, the Camden boys and girls swim teams took second and third places, respectively, in the 1-7A region with 13 finishes of third or faster out of 22 events. Camden came in second overall, trailing behind Tift County, which swept first place in the team rankings.

Swimmers place third at invitational

Against a field of nearly 20 other high schools, the Camden High girls and boys swim teams both placed third with 239.5 and 219 points respectively at the 2020 Savannah Country Day Invitational on Jan. 10. Camden was also well ahead of the fourth place teams that posted scores in with 160s.

Wildcats' Fogle signs with UConn

Camden County linebacker Desmond Fogle will play next season at UConn after making his college plans official over the early signing period Dec. 18. “College football was always in my plans,” said the upperclassman, who also attracted interest from Savannah State and Campbell.

The Camden County High NJROTC marksmanship team has qualified for its first national finals competition, set for February in Arizona. “This is the biggest thing to happen to the unit, and a big deal for the school and the community,” coach and senior naval science instructor Stephen Banta said.
