A six-strong senior class greets Kayla Miller in her first season as Camden County High softball head coach. This week, the Tuesday season-opener at Bradwell Institute was rained out and rescheduled for Aug. 31 in Hinesville.

As ingrained as sports are in our culture, it can stretch the mind to know they were once novelties. For Jason Hasty, a University of Georgia athletics history specialist, his job managing the UGA athletic association archives and 130 years’ worth of the school’s sports history is a labor of love.
