'Cat girls netters rise to 3-1; boys win first

The Camden County High girls tennis team stood 3-1 after winning two of their last three matches, and a win over Lowndes last Friday was the Wildcat boys’ first of the season.
The CCHS soccer girls defeated Ware, 5-0, and the boys edged the Gators, 3-2.

Camden sweeps soccer doubleheader from Ware

The Camden County High boys soccer team stayed unbeaten with their first win last week, and the girls stood 3-1 after splitting two home matches. This week, CCHS was scheduled for non-region doubleheaders Tuesday at Wayne County and Friday at Pierce County. Lowndes invades Chris Gilman Stadium Feb.

Lowndes sweeps hoops twinbill at CCHS

Region 1-7A losses to Lowndes last Friday left the Camden County High hoopsters struggling for momentum ahead of the league tournament next week. In Kingsland, the boys were within five at intermission, then succumbed, 60-39. The Lady ’Cats went scoreless in the opening quarter of a 44-24 defeat.

Wildcat wrestlers qualify for state traditional

Eleven Camden County High wrestlers qualified for the state Class 7A traditional tournament with top-six finishes at sectionals last weekend near Cartersville. The number represents the most qualifiers of any 7A school competing this weekend at the state traditional in Macon.

Wildcats win ninth state duals title

After winning their first two preliminary matches by a combined 147-3, the Camden County High wrestlers showed no letup last Saturday in romping to their eighth straight state duals championship.

'Cats wrestlers eye state after region duals title

The state duals are next after the Camden County wrestlers pum- meled Tift and host Colquitt County last Saturday to capture the Region 1-7A championship. The Blue Devils fell, 66-12, in a semifinal, and the Packers didn’t have much better success in a 53-12 finals wipeout.

Bobcats win regional wrestling title

The St. Marys Middle School Bobcats won the first-ever SEC Middle School Championships on Thursday, Dec. 2. The competition was comprised of the four middle schools in Glynn County and the two middle schools in Camden.

Boomers travel to Daytona for Thankswimming competition

The Camden County Boomers swim team traveled to Daytona, Florida, over their holiday break last month to compete in Thankswimming 2021. The boys team had enough points to end in ended in fifth place with 86 points out of a field of six teams.
