The Camden County High softball team split its first eight games, including two wins in four contests last weekend in a Crisp County tournament. CCHS visits Ware on Saturday. The Region 1-6A schedule opens Tuesday at home with Valdosta, and a return doubleheader will be Aug. 29.

Lady ’Cat spikers rally in opener, win three

The Camden County spikers spotted host Brunswick the first two sets before rallying for a 24-26, 20-25, 25-16, 25-20, 15-11 win in the season opener last Thursday. Grace Pratt thumped a team-high 18 kills and Raelyn Williams 13 for the winners.
