Norton

Mr. Roy Davis Norton, 90, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at his home in St. Marys. Mr. Norton was born on March 15, 1930, in Sterling, Georgia, to the late Henry and Nettie Norton. He moved to Kingsland and went to work at Gilman Paper Company in 1950.

Pittman

Billy Joe Pittman Sr., 75, passed away on July 29, 2020, in Jacksonville, Fla., surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on March 26, 1945, in Pearson, Georgia, to the late H.C. Pittman and Winnie Arnold Pittman.

Notter

Charles Patrick Notter Jr., 87, of St. Marys died Monday afternoon, Aug. 3, 2020, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross after an extended illness. Mr. Notter was born in Chicago to the late Charles Notter Sr. and Frances Petterson Notter and made St. Marys his home for many years.

Cressman

John Hern Parker Cressman, 85, passed away at Almost Home — Beaches Assisted Living Facility in Atlantic Beach, Florida, on Monday, July 27, 2020, after suffering from dementia for the last several years. John was born in Severn, Maryland, on Nov. 26, 1934.

Taylor

Kenneth Lee Taylor, 72, of Brunswick entered peacefully into Heaven’s gates at his residence with his family by his side. Ken, as he was affectionately known by all who knew and loved him, was born Nov. 2, 1947, in Kingsland, the son of the late James E. Taylor and the late Helen Waye Taylor.

Mulkey

Cynthia Louise Ganey Mulkey, 54, of Camden County passed away Friday afternoon, July 31, 2020, at her sister’s residence after an extended illness. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, her parents were Harley Ganey and Freida Miller Hart. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mulkey.

Reed

Peggie L. Reed of White Oak (Tarboro community) passed away on Sunday morning at 6:58 a.m.

Bond

Sharon Elaine Bond, 62, passed away on July 16, 2020, at her home in St. Marys.  Ms. Bond was born on April 7, 1958 to the late Grady and Lola Tyre. Her family would like to remember Sharon as a beautiful and loving soul. Her contagious laugh was known and loved by all.

Canady

Edward Reeves Canady (lieutenant colonel, USA, retired), 78, of Woodbine passed away in the afternoon hours of Wednesday, July 22, 2020. He was born on July 4, 1942 in Swainsboro, Georgia, to the late Jewell Hall Canady and Master Sgt. Reeves Canady. The family moved to Brunswick in 1944.

Williams

Charles Thomas Williams Sr., 66, of St. Marys died Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at his residence after an extended illness. Mr. Williams was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late William C. Williams and Norene Williams and made St. Marys his home since 2006.
