The southern basin of the Fernandina Harbor Marina has silted in to the point much of it is unusable at low tide. Moving the marina north could alleviate the siltation problem, but would encroach on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers navigational channel.

The city-owned Fernandina Harbor Marina has a silting problem, but how to address that problem has not been determined. Oasis Marinas, the private company that manages the marina for the city, sent a letter to the Fernandina Beach City Commission and City Manager Dale Martin
